Our goal as the music educators of the Quincy Public Schools Elementary Bands is to provide an encouraging and rewarding atmosphere of musical instruction for those fourth and fifth grade students who wish to play a musical instrument.  We strive to teach our students the basic playing technique of their instruments as well as to decipher the intricacies of the musical language in a fun, enjoyable way.  It is our hope that our students not only develop a lasting interest in music and music-making experiences, but also learn to appreciate the discipline involved in regular practice in addition to the responsibility entailed in being a committed member of the band.
